HI! I'M Victoria!

I'm a crochet artist from Belgium. I started in January 2021 with crochet. Never would I have thought that 10 months later, I had a blog about it! It really escalated quickly. My appartement is full of yarn and my head full of ideas.

I'm a photographer, so photography didn't feel like a hobby anymore. It feels like work, which is fine, it's what I wanted. It meant I needed a new hobby. Two friends of mine learned me to crochet and I am so grateful to them.

I mostly make amigurumis and clothing items. My first clothing item was a beanie. Now I'm crocheting cardigans and sweaters. I crochet amigurumi animals for the ER of an hospital. The amigurumis are for the little kids with big injuris. I also make octopuses for babys in the NICU.

About the octopus. Why am I The Crafty Octopus? An octopus was the first amigurumi that I made. It's also the animal that I've recreated the most. I have one of my own to help with anxiety. Grabbing on the tentacles is really relaxing. It only felt right to be an octopus.
